Plymstock Road Runners - Open to all

The Saltram 5K is now the Trevor Thorne Memorial Race and we are putting the race on. New route. See the Results now.

Your local running club, continuing to raise money for local charities

We are a very friendly club, which has grown considerably in the last couple of years. We welcome runners of any and all standards. Our membership is increasing nearly every week. As of November 2006, we had over 124 paid up senior members.

If you just want to keep fit or train for that particular race, we're the club for you. We have several coaches at various levels to help you with those training schedules. Over half of our members are Ladies, and we ensure that during the dark winter nights you never run alone. So join us now on any of the training nights, we can't wait to see you!

Are you on "teas" this week?

Thursday - Senior training
6:15 pm at the club for a choice of four routes ranging from 2 miles up to 6+ miles.

Monday - Focused training
6:15 pm for a specialist repetition session (speed, hills, fartlek) in the local area. Check with the Club for details (starts from Dean Cross car park).

Sunday - Slow and scenic
8.00 am from the Bus Stop by Plymstock Bowling Club on Furzehatt Road for a long slow run in the local area.

Tuesday - Junior training
6:15 to 7:45 pm at Plymstock School. If you want to join us, you are more than welcome to come along, as long as your parents drop you off and collect you after the session.

Our Race
Every year the club organises the Duckponds 7 km Race. Since 2004, the race has been a fully paid up member of the British Association of Road Races. The event includes a 3 km Fun Run. All proceeds go to local charities.
