A big well done goes out to you all from the Coaches and Members of Plymstock Road Runners Satellite Athletics Club. You should all feel very proud of your achievement over the winter months, the commitment and determination that was required to gain our first place over. This is the first time that the club has won this event and it is only our second season. The satellite club coaches are very proud of each and every one of our athletes. We also have at our club, seventeen U11 Devon champions and six U13 Devon champions. One of our athletes Karl Underwood, is currently ranked No 1 for his age group (13) at the vertical jump in the U.K! In total we won 67 medals:

The athlete’s role of honour: Under 10’s Ellen McGirr took gold medals in 2xlaps, standing long jump and sitting throw. Mellissa Inglis had a bronze in sitting throw, the boys not to be out done had a string of medals for Tyler Shepherd had gold in sitting throw, vertical jump and standing triple jump. Elliott Platt had gold for 1 lap hurdles, standing long jump and silver for soft javelin. Tom Blackford took gold in balance test and 2 bronze medals for speed bounce and standing long jump. Chris Tillyer had 2 silver medals for 2 lap and sitting throw. Harry Williams Arnold had a bronze medal for vertical jump. Zac McFarlane had a silver medal in standing triple jump. Under 11’s Tiegan Walsh had 2 bronze medals for speed bounce and standing long jump, while Cody Morrish picked up her gold medal in soft javelin. The boys start their haul with Rueben Gordon who took gold for speed bounce and gold for 2 laps. Tommy O’Donnell had gold in sitting throw silver in vertical jump and bronze in speed bounce. Louis Killick had gold for standing long jump and silver in soft javelin. Ian Rye-Carriegas took his bronze medals in standing long jump and sitting throw. Ewan Sutton had his silver medal in standing long jump. Jack Digby had a bronze medal for standing triple jump. Under 13’s Maddie Platt had her two gold medals in 6 lap and shot put with silver in standing long jump. Lauren McCall had a gold medal in high jump and bronze in vertical jump. Abi Roberts gained her gold medal 4 lap, speed bounce and silver medal in 2 lap hurdles. Danielle Turner took her gold medal in vertical jump, silver in 4 laps and bronze in high jump. Lucy Noble won two bronze medals for Standing long jump and standing triple jump. Abi Horne had a bronze medal in 2 laps. Sophie Digby won bronze in speed bounce. The boys start with Karl Underwood who took gold in vertical jump, 1lap hurdles and silver in standing long jump. Jim Blackford had two bronze medals for speed bounce and 6 laps. Steve Tillyer had a bronze medal. Under 15’s Jessica Henry had two gold medals in 4 laps, speed bounce and silver in 2 lap hurdles. Jade Morrish had two silver medals for speed bounce and shot put. Ellen Davis won silver for high jump. Chloe Bounsall won a bronze medal for 2 lap hurdles. The boys starting with, Ashley Scott won gold for speed bounce and a bronze for standing long jump.
